Hello again Blog Land.
I've been gone a while...like 6 years. Nothing like a pesky pandemic to bring a girl out of the dark. Where have you been for 6 years you ask?
Long story, short. In 2014 I closed my business to concentrate on homeschooling my 2 children. I was going full force in my design business, had more wonderful clients than I could keep track of, and interesting projects that most designers would give their right arm for. However, knowing myself, I knew I couldn't do both as well as I expected, so I stopped taking clients and chose my family because they needed me more. I knew design would be waiting for me to return some day. It was a hard decision, but the right one for my family.
6 years later, my kids don't need me as much as they used to.
As I sit here, without me asking, my 14 year old is re-organizing the pantry and fridge so that we can fit all of the groceries I just lugged into the house. She must be thanking me for all of the driving to and fro I do for her:) OR she is just hungry and tired of trying to find food. Who knows.
Anyway...
My design business has been patiently waiting in the wings for 6 long years. I think it's time knock the dust off and start designing and dreaming again...after all, I've got the time AND the help!
